Meet Dr. Ignatiuk

Dr. Ignatiuk is a Canadian trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and after traveling to the US for his fellowship, he realized that this was the place for him to learn and grow as a surgeon.  He specializes in hand surgery, cancer reconstruction and many other chronic and traumatic injuries.  Part of his fellowship included pediatric training making him versed in both trauma and congenital abnormalities in children.  With his diverse training and experience he is able to perform both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, with a special interest in breast reconstruction and most notably peripheral nerve surgery.  He has recently spearheaded a targeted muscle reinnervation clinic with the university hospital to service amputees and patients with chronic pain from nerve damage.  He has partnered with the Hanger Clinic, curating a multidisciplinary team composed of physical therapists, occupation therapists, a physiatrist and a prosthetist to aid in patient recovery and achieve the very best outcomes.

With over 6 years experience in 2 highly competitive academic hospitals, Dr. Ignatiuk is at the forefront of cutting edge techniques and knowledge, allowing him to produce consistently excellent results.  He is board certified in both Canada and the US and holds membership with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  When not in the OR or teaching residents Dr. Ignatiuk likes to spend his spare time with his family and two boxers or working on his car.
